A twist of the wrist
I took the Fireblade for a short spin this morning, the first outing in three weeks. It felt great, beautiful weather, dry twisty roads, light traffic, plenty of overtaking. Life is good.

Whoosh! Fek!
Had a very pleasant round of golf yesterday afternoon with Swiss Tony at Chiddingfold. A beautiful afternoon on a very pleasant course with exceedingly average golf being played. Sank a blinding putt to birdie the fourteenth though.

Cathy was taken by surprise in the kitchen last night.
So, there we were having a quiet chat and a glass of wine in the kitchen around 9:30pm last night. Suddenly, Cathy gasped and hit the ceiling in a Scooby Doo, "Yipe" kind of a way. Her jumping made me jump too. I followed her gaze expecting to see a spider on the kitchen floor. Standing between us was Sam, he had silently climbed out of his cot and crept downstairs. He may as well have been beamed there by the crew of the USS Enterprise. We reacted with shocked disbelief, He’s a great climber but has shown no inkling to get out of his cot before. He reacted with wide eyed curiosity as though it were his first time in the kitchen. It took us all a few minutes to settle down again. When asked how he got out he replied "I stood on Winnie the Poo’s back and climbed out." Obvious when you think about it. We’re now looking forward to many scary awakenings in the wee small hours. They grow up quickly these days.
