The Christmas present of Christmas past

My mother in law rang yesterday. She wanted to know If I could remember who bought them the boxed set of The Lord of the Rings books last year. They have two of them and thought that they would recycle the present by passing it on to someone else and did I think that this was good idea. I couldn't remember who bought it them but agreed that it is a good idea. When Cathy came home, I told her the story. It turns out that we bought them the books last year and will probably get them back this year.
