Oh no! Not another one

I just had to write another one of those emails. You know the ones, great job, excellent service, well done, I'm impressed, we'll be back, blah blah blah. So, it's a massive "big up" for Tumble Tots for impressing the living carp out of me yesterday afternoon.

And, another "big up" for the Mill Tavern (no web site unfortunately) in Shottermill for dishing up an excellent venison steak on mustard mash with a rich port jus. All washed down with a bottle of nice red plonk and a couple of pints of delicious real ale. Oh, and the company was especially nice.

Yesterday was a rather good day.

Whooosh, here comes another deadline

Having spent the last year working flat out to hit impossible deadlines, we got the project implemented on time. Between you and me, there may have been the odd trade off on the scope, cost and quality sides of the equation, but it went in on time. I've had a couple of weeks of relative calm which has just been shattered by my secondment to another project which is, funnily enough, behind schedule and chasing impossible deadlines. Now, I'm no Herbert Einstein but I'm beginning to see a pattern emerging here: they keep hiring slow programmers like me.

Update: We're gonna learn 'em some proper SQL though! Mwahahahahaha! Now, where are my lucky SQL underpants?

Christmas party games

Elbow Titty – Simple rules, you score one point for each time your elbow "accidentally" brushes up against a breast. Good clean fun for all the family.

Shhhh, it's a secret

"What did you do at nursery today Sam?"
"We made a secret present that we're not allowed to bring home, it's a christmas card."
