It runs in the family

Simon has a mum who has a blog here and on my blogroll over there on the right. Go visit, say hello.

User interface

I installed a new user interface yesterday. The toilet is much more comfortable with its new seat. Now, where's my Daily Mail?

The good news

I got a job starting Monday. The bad news is that it is only for three weeks.

And here is the news

The BBC is no longer my preferred source of news. In future I will be going here.

NSFW by the way.

American humor

Is different to British humour, but surely not this different.

What is a blog?

Well, Pete Ashton seems to have the answer. It conjures up a terrific mental image.

A case of mistaken identity

During the rugby festivities on Saturday I was refused service in a pub. The barmaid appeared to be quite angry with me and explained that because of my appalling behaviour the previous evening, she would not serve me. I explained that I have never been in the pub before and had stayed home on Friday evening watching TV and eating curry. She didn't believe me and stormed away. So, if you live in Guildford and look like me, behave yourself. I'm perfectly capable of getting myself thrown out of pubs thank you very much.

The previous post...

...was the result of some thirteen hours of hard Guinness drinking yesterday. I'm getting far too old to do things like that and feel pretty seedy today. Did I mention that England beat Australia and won the Rugby World Cup yesterday?
